The position focuses on behaviour support agents for helping people with chronic diseases, such as people with diabetes, to engage with their social environment and establish the conditions for a healthier lifestyle. Specifically, the work focuses on how a conversational agent with a reinforcement learning algorithm can support individuals and their social networks to improve these social conditions. The postdoc will empirically investigate this with a user study.
