Hi,

Please share this with your Ph.D. students or M.S. students who
might like to spend some time teaching in California.

UCSC is looking for full-time or part-time lecturers to teach classes
in a range of computer science subjects, including introductory programming,
but also upper division and graduate classes, e.g. in Programming Languages
or in Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning. The basic
requirement is
an M.S. in CS or related field, applicants with a Ph.D. and some
university teaching experience preferred. Flyer attached.

Santa Cruz is a beautiful coastal town with a Mediterranean
climate, situated on the Monterey Bay,
35 miles from Silicon Valley, with easy access to Bay Area
tech companies for research collaborations. [image: Inline image 2][image:

See the attached flyer for how to apply. We need people in all levels of CS
teaching, including M.S. level classes,
and intro classes such as "Intro to Java". There are immediate openings for
spring quarter 2016
and possibly summer 2016 as well as the 2016 and 2017 academic year and
beyond.
There are also sister departments at UCSC who need people to teach
"discrete math" and
other classes that are taken by CS Majors.

Best,
Lyn
