Heriot-Watt University, invites national and international applications
for 3 full-time Postdoctoral Research Associates in human-computer/robot
interaction, including spoken dialogue and multimodal techniques, to join
the flagship £31M EPSRC-funded Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RAI) *ORCA
hub (Offshore Robotics for Certification of Assets)*. You will be joining a
world-leading consortium of academics and researchers (including from
Universities of Liverpool, Edinburgh, Oxford and Imperial College) with the
potential for collaboration resulting in high-impact research publications.



# We are looking for:

We are looking for 3 full-time roles with an initial contract of 1 year,
and with the possibility of renewal. General role descriptions are as
follows:

*Role A:* Multimodal and spoken dialogue systems, including NLP and NLG,
for adaptive human-machine interaction with Explainable AI

*Role B:* Human-Computer Interaction with data visualisation for
Explainable AI

*Role C:* Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on adaptive user
interfaces exploring cognitive load and sensing; human-machine teaming


We are looking for expertise in various aspects of multimodal and
interactive systems, preferably with some Machine Learning and User
Centered Design experience.  We expect strong technical skills, high level
of academic writing, as well as, excellent communication and teamwork from
any candidates.

# Salary:
Exact salary, ranging between GBP31,604- 38,883, can be negotiated on
