Call for participation for the HRI2021 Workshop ‘Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Child-Robot Relationship Formation’

Overview:


This half-day workshop aims to bring together CRI researchers and stakeholders across disciplines to discuss qualitative and quantitative methods that can be used to capture concepts relevant to the process of child-robot relationship formation, such as closeness and trust. In addition, key issues in the field will be identified and discussed from an interdisciplinary perspective, and potential solutions will be brainstormed.


The workshop will be held online (e.g., Zoom)  and highly interactive. Organisers will identify core themes and challenges based on participants' responses. Participants will discuss these challenges in break-out sessions moderated by senior researchers to provide suggestions and feedback. Discussions are not limited to classic user studies, and can also involve, for instance, theoretical and ethical reflections on methodological issues.
