Call for attendance for the Furhat Conference

We are very happy to invite you to attend the first edition of the International Furhat Conference on Social Robotics in Research series.

In this half-day scientific conference, leading scientists will showcase cutting-edge research in social robotics using Furhat. We will also announce exciting new product features that will empower more researchers to advance the field and to use social robots in existing and new research areas.

We hope that this will also be an opportunity to meet fellow established and new scientists and researchers, as well as foster new conversations and collaborations in the community.

Sarah Gillet

Non-verbal robot behaviors for learning in groups

Sarah (https://hs-4431956.t.hubspotstarter-h8.net/e2t/sc2/MmZ-8ykCRzVW7j3zmK6M32WCW8MQ94r5tlFt-VSzNDZ8NrysmdBzP8R04 ) is a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Sarah recently received the Best Paper Award at HRI 2021 for her work on how robot gaze can influence group behavior.

Ronald Cumbal

Ronald (https://hs-4431956.t.hubspotstarter-h8.net/e2t/sc2/MmZ-8ykCRzVW7j3zmK6M32WCW8MQ94r5tlFt-VSzNDZ8NrysmdBzP8V04 ) is also a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Ronald's current research focuses on conversational robots that assist second language learning with users of multi-cultural backgrounds.

Jonas Beskow

Facing the future - increased facial fidelity and flexibility for social robots

Jonas (https://hs-4431956.t.hubspotstarter-h8.net/e2t/sc2/MmZ-8ykCRzVW7j3zmK6M32WCW8MQ94r5tlFt-VSzNDZ8NrysmdBzP8W04 ) is a co-founder of Furhat Robotics and Senior R&D Engineer. He is also a professor in Speech Communication with specialisation in Multimodal Embodied Systems at KTH in Stockholm.
