Call For Papers
The 11th International Conference on Human-Agent Interaction (HAI 2023)
In-cooperation with ACM SIGCHI
December 4th-7th, 2023, Gothenburg, Sweden

https://hai-conference.net/hai2023/

The Eleventh International Conference on Human-Agent Interaction (HAI 2023) aims to be the premier interdisciplinary venue for discussing and disseminating state-of-the-art research and results that have implications across conventional interaction boundaries including robots, software agents and digitally-mediated human-human communication. HAI will gather researchers from fields spanning engineering, computer science, psychology and sociology, and will cover diverse topics, including: human-robot interaction, affective computing, computer-supported collaborative work, gaming and serious games, artificial intelligence, and more.

The theme for the HAI2023 conference will be “Human Empowerment and Inclusive Society”. The rapid advancement of HAI (Human-AI) and AI tools, both in virtual and real-world contexts, has introduced exciting possibilities for social tasks and human progress. However, the presence of biases within these systems has raised concerns regarding their trustworthiness and fairness. It is crucial to address these issues and explore ways to design AI systems that are more equitable, inclusive, and human-centric. Furthermore, as part of our commitment to sustainable development goals, it is essential to foster an inclusive society that embraces the benefits of technological advancements. We must strive to create an environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds can thrive and live harmoniously alongside these

technological developments. While we welcome all submissions related to HAI, we particularly encourage papers that align with the theme for HAI 2023. This theme revolves around the exploration of strategies and solutions to ensure the equity, inclusivity, and well-being of individuals as AI systems interact with them..

The HAI conference seeks contributions from a broad range of disciplines such as engineering, computer science, psychology, sociology, cognitive science, business, marketing and design. We hope to be a venue to connect these diverse areas.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  *   studies of Human-Agent Interaction, with quantitative/qualitative results;
  *   theoretical models;
  *   technological advances;
  *   experimental methods;
  *   impacts of embodiment;
