Late Breaking
We encourage researchers and practitioners to use this track as a valuable opportunity to receive useful feedback on early-stage work and foster discussions and collaborations among colleagues. We look forward to receiving:
* Innovative research plans and preliminary results;
* Descriptions and/or evaluations of system prototypes addressing the theory and practice of topics to the hypertext community;
* Essays introducing recently started research projects or summarising project results.
Blue Sky Papers
In cooperation with the Computing Community Consortium (CCC, https://cra.org/ccc/), we invite submissions to a special “Blue Sky Ideas” track. The emphasis of this track will be on visionary ideas, long term challenges, and opportunities in research that are outside the current mainstream topics of the field. We want to overcome the constraints of the traditional review process by incubating innovative approaches, risky and provocative ideas, and propose challenges and opportunities in the near future. We are particularly excited about ideas that address the conference theme of “The World as Hypertext.”
To encourage researchers to present truly visionary concepts, the CCC is offering prizes for up to 3 top papers in this special track: first prize $1000, second prize $750, and third prize $500, to be awarded as travel grants. Submissions will be judged on the extent to which they expand the possibilities and horizons of the field or challenge existing assumptions prevalent in the field.
Demos
HT25 welcomes demonstrations of working systems, prototypes, or experimental tools that explore how hypertext and AI-driven technologies amplify creativity, enhance connections, and transform user experiences.
Exhibitions
HT25 also invites submissions that showcase original interactive experiences, digital art installations, games, or narrative works that leverage hypertext and AI-driven technologies to amplify creativity and enhance user engagement. Possible topics here include, but are not limited to: digital art and creative interactive media; interactive narrative experiences; immersive installations utilizing AR, VR, or mixed reality; innovative e-literature and storytelling projects; and digital installations addressing ethical considerations such as biases, authorship, and human-AI collaboration, among others.
Important note on attendance: Due to recent travel advisories from some countries, the organizing committee has decided to shift the conference to a hybrid format, allowing for remote presentations if the presenters have difficulties with travel restrictions or VISA applications.
