Dear Colleagues,

The 13th International Conference on Affective Computing and Intelligent
Interaction (ACII 2025) organising committee is delighted to bring the ACII
conference series to Australia for the first time. ACII 2025 will be an
in-person event held at the Hotel Realm conference venue in Canberra,
Australia, 8-11 Oct 2025.

As part of this exciting program, we are thrilled to invite you to our
tutorials:

*Understanding and Mitigating Bias in Emotion Recognition Systems*

This tutorial focuses on understanding and mitigating bias in emotion
recognition systems across the full development pipeline. The tutorial will
examine emerging strategies that include identifying bias introduced by
speakers and raters, designing de-bias learning objectives using
adversarial or calibration-based methods, and evaluating outcomes at both
the group and individual levels fairness. The tutorial will conclude with
an interactive hands-on session focused on bias analysis using the
BIIC-Podcast dataset.

*Introduction to Multimodal Behaviour Analysis for Interactive AI*

*Prof. Albert Ali Salah, Utrecht University, NetherlandsDr. Leimin Tian,
CSIRO Robotics, Australia*
This tutorial aims to introduce basic tools of human behavior analysis to
students of both computer science and psychology, to enable collaborations
between these disciplines. We will cover different application areas,
discuss examples to illustrate the possibilities, as well as challenges and
pitfalls of methodology.
