Academic positions at Centre for Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (cSCAN), University of Glasgow

We are seeking to make key appointments to enhance the Centre’s already substantial international reputation in social perception, social cognition, and social interaction. cSCAN research employs a wide variety of behavioral methods and neuroscience methods (e.g., fMRI, MEG). Computational modeling associated with social signal processing, social robotics, and communication also plays a central role in cSCAN research.

We are particularly seeking researchers that will strengthen the University of Glasgow’s artificial social intelligence group, a collaboration between cSCAN and computing science that is working on software agents, virtual humans and robots capable of social interaction with people. This transdisciplinary effort was recently awarded a UKRI AI Centre for Doctoral Training grant in artificial social intelligence (https://socialcdt.org/).

We are interested in researchers at all levels (Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, Readers and Professors). If you are interested, please contact cSCAN-vacancies at glasgow.ac.uk<mailto:cSCAN-vacancies at glasgow.ac.uk> with a CV and/or for further information.
