Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a call for submissions for a special issue of
the peer-reviewed video journal *JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments)*,
themed:
*"Interactive Technologies for Behavior Change and Emotional Engagement."*

This special issue welcomes contributions in (but is not limited to) the
following areas:

   -

   Human-Robot Interaction (HRI)
   -

   Human-Agent Interaction (HAI)
   -

   Affective Computing
   -

   Behavior Change Technologies
   -

   Persuasive Systems for Education, Health, and Communication
   -

   Intelligent Artifacts and Socially Adaptive Systems

*JoVE* is the world's first peer-reviewed visual journal that enables the
presentation of experimental techniques and processes through high-quality
video articles.
In this format, the video plays the central role in presenting the
research, while the written article serves as a supporting component.

This unique approach—video-first, text-supported—offers an opportunity to
showcase dynamic or complex interaction processes that are difficult to
convey through text alone.
It also allows researchers to publish work that complements existing
publications as a distinct contribution, leveraging the visual modality.
Articles are indexed in major databases such as PubMed and Web of Science
and are counted as standard peer-reviewed publications.

This issue focuses on human-centered technologies in the fields of HCI and
AI and offers an excellent opportunity to disseminate your research in a
