Registration is now open for the 9th Furhat Conference on Social Robotics <https://www.furhatrobotics.com/the-9th-furhat-conference-on-social-robotics>, a bi-annual online conference that brings together researchers, educators and students from all over the world to discuss the latest developments in the field of social robotics.
Themed "Social robotics research in the age of AI” the conference will take place on Wednesday October 15th at 4:00-6:00 PM CET (10:00-12:00 PM EDT).
The world's rapid adoption of AI marks a new chapter for social robotics research. Where past research mostly focused on scripted interactions, today’s advancements in AI have opened the door for more autonomous, natural and personalized interactions. The conference will explore how research in social robotics is evolving with the adoption of new AI technologies.
The team at Furhat Robotics will also unveil the Furhat Realtime API, a new tool that gives robot users a powerful research kit to enable seamless two-way communication between Furhat and external devices, real-time analysis of Furhat’s audio and video streams, integration with offline LLMs, ASR, TTS, vision models, and much more.
