[librecat-dev] catmandu as a microservice

Hi Sergio!

Is this a recurring task or do you have to do it once? Maybe you take a look at MARCEdit [1] which has a deduplication function.

Dear carsten,
everybody seems to be on vacation at this period,
so i will ask you, how would you approach the following task with Catmandu or other code?
I have an mrc, which has some duplicate records, which i have to spot. The problem is, that they differ in their 001 values, and somehow i need to marc map many tags, if not all, and then somehow produce a report with all ids of the duplicate records
perhaps a Json, a csv
that in each row, has the ids of all duplicate records.
How would you approach this task?
Thank you in advance for any help,
and of course for sharing with us the folio link
Best

Hi everyone!

Reading about FOLIO [1] brought me to the question if catmandu is a candidate for a microservice used in such an open library environment.

The concept of microservices is relatively new to me and I’m not familiar with the development of microservices. But I guess something like:

http://localhost:10101/catmandu/convert?from=MARC&to=YAML&input=my.mrc&fix=%22marc_map(245%2Ctitle)%22

might be possible, right? Is this something to achieve?

Cheers!

Carsten
