Permanent Faculty positions available in The Centre for Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (cSCAN), University of Glasgow
The Centre for Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (cSCAN) at The University of Glasgow is actively pursuing key appointments to enrich our Centre’s internationally connected and influential research environment. We broadly seek researchers who will contribute to the strengths of cSCAN’s broader research agenda and international reputation in social perception, social cognition, and social interaction. cSCAN is a unique, highly interdisciplinary environment, involving researchers in psychology, neuroscience and computer science who employ a wide variety of behavioral methods, neuroscience methods (e.g., fMRI, MEG) and computational modeling.
Of particular interest are researchers who will strengthen the University of Glasgow’s artificial social intelligence group, a collaboration between cSCAN and Computing Science that develops, implements, and assesses software agents, virtual humans and robots capable of multi-modal social interaction with people. Our interdisciplinary group was recently awarded a UKRI AI Centre for Doctoral Training grant in artificial social intelligence (https://socialcdt.org/ <https://socialcdt.org/>) that will be funding 50 Ph.D. students over the next 8 years.
